“I Had a Car” is an innovative, fun book for emergent readers. Beginning readers can practice reading simple but essential words while building their confidence and comprehension. Meant to encourage independent reading, the book includes a parent/teacher guide for asking questions to gauge comprehension. This book is also complete with a “How Do I Begin” reading guide, vocabulary preview, activities that expand learning, and word family flashcards. With each supplemental aid, the reader will be taken on an adventure where reading meets fun!
Books contain CVC words and Part 2 has sentences that build.
These books are perfect for children learning to sound out words, in order to phonetically read as well as for children, who have mastered their sounds, so they can put their hard work to practice.

Teaching has been my craft since 2005. It has allowed for me to be creative and has given me much unexpected laughter from little, wonderful people! I have taught kindergarten through fifth grade, but I have spent most of my career teaching third grade. I spent 2 years as a Reading Interventionists for grades 3-5. This position was one of my greatest joys! Teaching has taught me... And I LOVE learning!
